1. Professional activities:
• Plan and prepare lessons on a weekly basis and in accordance with the relevant pacing guide.
• Deliver engaging lessons that support students below grade level while also pushing students at and above grade level.
• Through continual assessment, adjust teaching to best facilitate student’s academic success.
• Submit weekly student planners that outline the focus of each lesson taught in the coming week (including topics, projects, vocabulary, homework, etc.).
2. Operational and Administrative Duties:
• Mark student work and update class gradebooks
• Attend a monthly meeting with all teachers and TAs of each class you teach to discuss student concerns, progress, etc. and maintain the Communication Log updated.
• Stay abreast of all Parents/Teacher communication regarding Students of concerns, ensuring appropriate frequency of and conduct in communications are being met.
3. Department development:
• Provide initiatives regarding academic and extracurricular activities and projects relating to operations to develop the Department.
• Participate in evaluations of new textbooks and other teaching materials, proposing their adoption when identified as an improvement towards the School’s objectives and curriculum.
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as might be reasonably assigned by the Curriculum Coordinator, Head of Teachers and IP Operation Team.
